LEST YOU MISS OUT ON HIM

LEST YOU MISS OUT ON HIM

Several posts ago I talked about not missing out on God and/or your personal relationship with Jesus. I cited the piece regarding the man on the roof who did not recognize God in various guises. I have been privileged to receive another, similar, but different verse conveying a similar message. I am, as you know, one who thinks that important points bear repeating. I believe way too many people–including those who claim to be Christians–miss out on the very God who creted them; who loves them; who wants to guide them. Don’t let yourself be one of them–ASK Jesus to help you recognize Him in the everydays of your life. And now the verse:

The man whispered, “God, speak to me.”
And a meadowlark sang. But the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, “God, speak to me!”
Thunder rolled across the sky. But the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, “God, let me see you.”
A star shone brightly. But he noticed it not.
And the man shouted, “God, show me a miracle.”
And a life was born. But the man was unaware.
So, the man cried out in despair, “Touch me, God, and let me know that you are here!”
Whereupon God reached down and touched the man.
But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

The man whispered, “God, speak to me.”

Moral: Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way you expect.
