DO YOU KNOW THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ASK OF JESUS? DO YOU KNOW THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ASK OF JESUS? King James Bible John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. It may seem that I am yelling at you and I am raising my voice because you need to hear this:the most important thing for you to ask Jesus is for your Salvation! If you do not, you will not make it to Heaven. You will go to the other place. Yes, Hell is for real and if you do not become saved and born again, you will not make it to Heaven. If you do not go to Heaven, where will you go? Yes, those who are not saved will go to Hell–forever–eternally–with no way out! I usually am positive and upbeat in my blog, however, if I do not say what needs to be said, you may not get the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth. I could gloss over the crucifixion of Jesus because it is unpleasant. I could do the same for lack of salvation. When I was first born again, I might have done exactly that; softened things up. But this morning I am really trying to reach someone who is lost; someone who needs salvation not sometime in the future but right now. We never know when we are going to die. It could be years from now. It could be months from now. It could be weeks from now. It could be days from now. It could be hours from now. It could be minutes from now. It could be seconds from now … the time for our salvation is at hand! Jesus experienced a most terrible way to die, however, He did not back out because He wanted to give us the opportunity to be saved. If He had backed out, our salvation would be impossible. Because He followed through, we need to do the same. As I have stated in a previous post the way to Salvation is to believe in Jesus, repent of our sins, be baptized by immersion in water, in Jesus’ name, and to receive the Holy Ghost, the sign of which is to speak (or sing, as I do) in tongues. There is no other way. Open your Bible and read the Word of God. It is there. It applies not to others out there somewhere but not us. It applies to everyone, including us! Ask for your salvation. Believe it is for real. Ask Him now!In Jesus’ name!

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ASK:

POSSIBLE:FOR WHAT DO I ASK HIM? I cannot tell you what to ask of Jesus; I can only make suggestions based on my experience or that of others who have shared with me. I will list some possibilities, however, I am certain that you can come up with more of your own. Some examples would include:help with healing; help in learning to love Jesus more; help in finding a closer relationship with Him; help with human and animal relationships in our lives; help making enough money to provide for our family’s needs; help finding the place of worship that is right for me; help learning to pray; help me remember Jesus and include Him in my everyday life; help me find the right life partner; help to get out of a toxic and dangerous life situation; help finding the right animal companion; help finding the best place for me to live; help in finding the best employment for me; help finding the right doctor for whatever ails me; help with my addiction (whether it is alcohol, food, drugs, sex, gambling, inappropriate relationships, pornography, etc.), help in understanding someone else’s situation enough to be able to hellp them; help me to believe in Jesus; help in trusting Him; help in becoming obedient to His will; help in my grief in the loss of someone near and dear to me; help to understand that it is okay to cry, it is okay to laugh, it is okay to sing, it is okay to share my feelings with Jesus; help in surrendering to Jesus; Help in truly letting Him have His way with us; help in imagining Jesus’s crucifixion, in all the details, so that we have more empathy and understanding of what He went through for us; help in understanding His Resurrection and how He did not just live 2000 years ago, but still lives today within us and around us; help in finding the words we need in the Bible for a particular situation, (besides asking Him, we can go to www.biblegateway.com or www.biblehub.com); help losing weight; help being more healthy; help with anger issues; help in being more assertive; help being given the courage to meet life’s bothersome or frightening challenges (can name particular thing I’m going through); help with specific needs of others I know and love, needs of those I do not know, (pray for everyone); help in praying for our country, for specific situations I know about, praying for the world, for its leaders, for our country’s economic system, etc.; help in thanking and praising God; help in expressing excitement in our relationship with Him; help in sharing His good news with others. … I could go on and on. As far as I know, there is nothing we cannot ask for; everything is possible with God. Matthew 19:26 King James Bible But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

ALWAYS A STUDENT: As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. Ecclesiastes 11:5 NKJV I have always been a student and always will be. I do not know everything. Even one with years of theology behind him/her or years of evangelism will not take away the fact that they do not always know; they do not always have the answers. However, if I waited until I had all the answers, I would not be writing this blog to try to help the lost who really need Jesus! So, I am just doing it anyway. Is this a repeat from an earlier post? Probably so. I will repeat myself from time to time. I’ve heard that it takes hearing/reading something seven times before we really grasp it. More recently, I heard that it is twenty-one times. Hmmm, we have a few more times to go in that case. I do, however, have opinions about asking in Jesus’ name, and I am willing to share them–to help someone–for the glory of Jesus! As we sang Wednesday evening in church:”to God be the glory, to God be the glory, to God be the glory, for the things He has done. With His blood, He has saved me; With His power, He has raised me. To God be the glory For the things he has done”

THE JOY OF JESUS:Perhaps I am having difficulty juxtaposing our wretchedness as sinners, on one hand, which is depressing and a slap to our self-esteem, and, the joy of Jesus, on the other. Jesus within me and around me is a beautiful, joyful Presence and I do not want to think or do anything that would lessen this joy. I want that same joy for you who have not yet accepted Jesus or have not been rescued by Him. There is beautiful, joyful music and poetry written about, for and by Jesus! I celebrate such artistic creations, including that in the Bible, especially in the Psalms and Proverbs. I am finding really neat/cool verses there that I had no idea were in God’s Word. I prefer focusing on this, than to our wretchedness, though it is important to understand what Jesus died for; it was not just for something rather insignificant. Our sins are a big deal and we need to do something about them. Those of you who are lost will not make it to Heaven unless you repent, are baptized in Jesus’ name, receive the Holy Ghost, the evidence of which is speaking in tongues. Your joy will come in being born again! in Jesus’ name.

THE TERM WRETCH REVISITED:The three citations I found in the Bible regarding the term “wretch” referred to our wretchedness as sinners, but did not call us a “wretch” I agree that my/our sinnning is wretched, but I do not think, at this time, that this makes me/you a wretch. The dictionary definition of the term is:1. very unfortunate in condition or circumstances; miserable; pitiable. 2. characterized by or attended with misery and sorrow. I know that my reaction is mostly to the idea that we are “piteable.” My reaction is from the fact that many sighted people see me, as a totally blind person, as pitiable. I do not want to be pitied because I am blind. There are a lot worse conditions I could have, one being sinfulness. I think it is a good idea for me/us to ask Jesus to heal us from physical/mental conditions. When we are born again, we are forgiven our sins. So as far as I know, that means we are no longer wretched??? I may need to ask more on this subject. In a way, this subject is O T (off topic) although, in my opinion, (which is just an opinion; it doesn’t mean I am right or not) asking in Jesus name can be about anything. In Jesus’ name.
